THE LIMERICK
From 50 Brain Builders for English Classes.

A limerick is a short, funny poem which follows (more or less) the following form:
| 1. There was a young lady so fat. |
Lines 1, 2, and 5 rhyme |
| 2. That she broke every chair when she sat. |
| 3. Her furniture bill |
Lines 3 and 4 rhyme |
| 4. She'd be paying off still |
| 5. But her lard she now spreads on a mat. |
Complete the following limericks:
| 1. There was an old person of Nine |
| 2. There once was a young lad named Ned |
| 3. A woman whose nickname was Jan |
| 4. Three kittens named Do, Re, and Mi |
| 5. A llama whose home was Peru |
